10. Jon Stewart takes on Bill de Blasio

A top hilarious moment on the show would be when Stewart had a totalmeltdown by the way Bill de Blasio, mayor of New York City, ate pizza—with a knife and fork.
He continued his rant calling the way he ate the pizza, “Pizza a la Trump.
"Lesson #1, learn how to eat your city's signature dish ... And when you're in Staten Island, you eat your pizza like a disgusting savage just like every other person in this f---ing city," the host yelled at the camera during the segment.

9. Jon Stewart reacts to Eric Garner decision

Jon Stewart wasn’t always joking and during the grand jury’s decision of the Eric Garner case he threw his hands up on air and said sadly to the camera “I don’t know."
The host explained that the White House proposed more cameras on cop’s vest as a solution to this types of violence.
“I assume that the solution proposed if implemented would look something like the Eric Garner case,” Stewart says.
“We are definitely not living in a post racial society,” he adds as the audience is in complete silence.

8. Jon Stewart gives heart felt show after 9/11

In one of this most memorable moments ever, Jon Stewart began his first show after the 9/11 tragedy asking the audience and TV viewers at home “are you okay? We pray that you are and that your family is.”
Instead of a normal show the host decided to find funny clips for this particular show in hopes to make people at home smile.
Stewart began to cry as he explained how grateful he was to be able to have a comedy show.
“It’s the difference between free and burden and we don’t take that for granted here by any stretch of the imagination,” he explained.

7. Jon Stewart goes to head to head with Bill O'Reilly

Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly faced-off on O’Reilly’s show when the conservative host said he was upset rapper Common performed at the White House after saying he supported a Cuban “cop killer”, Assata Shakur.
Stewart tried to explain that the rapper thought she was innocent and that you can’t ban people who have connections to cop killers from coming into the White House.
Stewart schools O'Reilly by explaining that Bono wrote a song about cop killer Leonard Peltier, who was convicted of killing two FBI agents, and he has performed at the White House.
“BOO YA! That’s a rap word” Stewart said to the conservative host.

6. Jon Stewart's appearence on "Crossfire"

The funnyman appeared on the show “Crossfire” with Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson.
He came out guns blazing and told them openly that he hated their show.
"I made a special effort to come on the show today because I have privately, amongst my friends and also in occasional newspapers and television shows, mentioned this show as being bad, Stewart said.
“And I wanted to — I felt that that wasn't fair, and I should come here and tell you that I don't — it's not so much that it's bad, as it's hurting America."
The CNN hosts had no idea what was coming for them and the only thing Carlson could say was “aren’t you supposed to be funny?”

5. Indecision 2000

During the 2000 election people who were frustrated by the election of George W. Bush into office turned to Stewart’s “Indecision 2000”.
At this time the show segments brought light to the drama surrounding the recount and other controversial moments surrounding the election.
Other comedians made an appearance on the show as well including Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell.

4. Jon Stewart's hard-hitting interview with Rumsfeld

For many fans of “The Daily Show,” when the comedian went head to head with Donald Rumsfeld, a person he made fun of often, it was considered an epic moment.
Stewart didn’t waste any time with the former congressman and started the interview off by saying “I think I know why you’re here—apology accepted.”
However, in the end Rumsfeld never believed the administration did anything wrong in regards to the Iraq War, which Stewart was frustrated he wouldn’t admit.

During the almost economy collapse of 2008 Jon Stewart decided it was time to go chat with no other than big money man, Jim Cramer.
During the show the host revealed he had dug up some footage of the “Mad Money” host saying that people that are like him can alter the system.
“I want Jim Cramer on CNBC to protect me from that Jim Cramer,” Stewart said.

2. The segment 'Guantanamo Baywatch'

In a segment attacking the Obama administration for not living up to their promise of shutting down Guantanamo Bay, Stewart does a skit using Gitmo, an Elmo puppet dressed up as a Guantanamo Bay detainee reporting from Guantanmo.
Gitmo is completely decked out in jewels and enjoying his life at the prison.
The puppet says he is doing ultimate revenge against America by using all of the American’s tax dollars.
This was after Brian Williams reported that the prison had a library, enrichment classes, and a brand new soccer field.

1. Jon Stewart's healthcare smackdown

During an interview with health-reform activist Betsy McCaughey, the host proved how hilarious he really is.
McCaughey was telling everyone that the new Democratic health care plan was “deadly to seniors,” and Stewart was having nothing of it.
During the interview the host proved his point with well-prepared statistics and information on policies.
He explained to McCaughey “I like you, but I don’t understand how your brain works.”
