Corona Police officers responded Tuesday morning, Oct. 13, to a bomb threat at a gas station in Corona.
The threat was made at 8:37 a.m. at the ARCO gas station at 1402 East Ontario Avenue, said Sgt. Paul Mercado. Officers were on scene at 9:24 a.m. blocking traffic to the area.
At 9:40 a.m., the intersections of Ontario and California avenues, Taber Street and California Avenue, Taber Street and Compton Avenue and Ontario and Compton avenues were blocked. The on-ramp and off-ramp to the Interstate 15 at Ontario Avenue was also blocked, triggering a SigAlert.
The Police Department advises motorists avoid the area until further notice. At 9:25 a.m., a bomb� squad was en route to the scene.
