Fifty years ago today, my High School Graduation present was $200 from my mom, to get a multi-engine pilot's license. Continental Airlines First Officer, Ralph Rina, who owned a Piper Apache. PA 28
On June 30, 1967, I took the FAA flight test and passed. with FAA examiner Al Gabardi.
So when I saw the 405 freeway crash of the Cessna 310 this morning it reminded me of those days of training.
