Mark Ruffalo begs Elizabeth Warren to run for president

from aol.com

While many Democrats are championing Hillary Clinton in 2016, the Hulk really wants to see another woman run for president.
On the debut episode of "The HuffPost Show," actor Mark Ruffalo -- best known these days for playing the Hulk in the Avengers films -- made a passionate plea for Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren to take a shot at the White House.
"I would like to ask you, on behalf of many, many, many, many, many Americans, to reconsider running for president of the United States," Ruffalo said in a pre-taped message to Warren, who was a guest on the show. "There's not many people, politically speaking, that are willing to take on the battles that you are specifically, whether it's the debt, student debt to the insidious and predatory practices of the banks."
"On behalf of future generations of the United States would you please, please not say no to running, at least being in a primary?" he begged.
Unfortunately for Ruffalo, Warren once again declined the opportunity, reiterating that for now she plans to fight for the policies she believes in from her Senate seat. She mentioned a handful of her top priorities, including refinancing student debt for young Americans and raising the minimum wage.
Do you think Warren could pose a political threat to Clinton if she changed her mind and decided to run? Tell us in the comments below.
